Annual Pocono Event
draws rare cars & faithful club members despite tough weather conditions
05/24-27/2003: The wettest
Spring in many years brought constant rain throughout the Pocono event weekend
but club members still turned out in good numbers to attend "Pocono—a Celebration
of Speed & Design. 2003." Amongst the rare Maseratis present were
the above 300S, Tipo 63, and Tipo 64 Birdcages. The event sponsor for Ferrari
and Maserati, Classic Coach Repair
of Elizabeth, NJ, went to great lengths to help insure the event's success
including displaying these great historic Maseratis during the foggy Concours
conditions. Even in heavy rains, club members signed up for sessions at
Monday asnd Tuesday's track event.
Foggy conditions
didn't stop the great display of Maseratis at this Concours.
Gary Reif's 1980 Merak SS during wet
track conditions.
THE OLD: Classic Coach's 1956 300S driven by club member David Liroff.
THE NEW: Track modified 2003 Masreati Coupe driven by club member David Ulanet.
