Maserati's fantastic new FIA GT race car

01/12/2004: Maserati is showing the first photos of its recently publicized FIA GT car which is now in testing at Fiorano and hopes to begin official competition by the close of 2004. What we see here is an 1100kg carbon fiber chassis, pushrod suspension, enclosing a 6.0 liter (5998cc) V12 pushing 620bhp, a statistic strikingly similar, (spec -wise) to the 5998cc v12 in the Ferrari Enzo. The car dubbed "MCC" is the racing version of a new Maserati Granturismo named "MCS." Maserati enthusiasts worldwide await the exciting prospects of Maserati's return to fully competitive racing.The car is expected to make its official debut at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show.
