I L TRIDENTE On-Line
Maserati Triumphant
in World Race Debut
03/09/2003: The world premiere
of the factory developed and built Maserati Trofeo racecar finished in glory
with the number 28 of Rod Wilson winning its class. Maserati Motorsport Manager
and lead pilot for the Australian Grand Prix support race won over more favoured
competitors hailing from other European stables.
The Trident Racing Trofeo won Group 2 of the Cleanevent Nations
Cup in Race 1 after a hard fought battle with a swaggle of Ferrari 360 Challenges
and Porsche 911 GT3 Cups. The number 28 Trofeo also managed to take 6th
place outright.
The second Maserati Trofeo of V8 Brutes star Gary Young finished a respectable
6th in class.

Benvenuto
Welcome to our club home. We are now headlong into Maserati's
re-emergence as a preeminent sports car marque. Amongst the features of our
site you can look to our online magazine section titled I L TRIDENTE
OnLine containing a Letters
to the Editor section allowing you to make your opinions known to
us instantly. This ILTRIDENTE OnLine is not meant to replace our famous IL TRIDENTE but rather to add
value to your membership dollars and fill in the gaps between issues.
Here you will have access to the most current Maserati news from this
ever accelerating world we live in. As"news" is really only news in a
very short window, ITOL is our best resource in getting it to you as soon
as it occurs. One early example is that we published the first photos of the prototype
4.2 liter engine which is now installed in U.S. models.
To help support iL TRIDENTE, ITOL will help to keep members connected
between issues. A major advantage of the site will be
it's ability to archive large amounts of reference materials, particularly
historic, which will be accessible to our ever expanding worldwide Maserati
community. In the future we'll add more of the well-known articles which
we have published in the magazine as well as current event pieces and,
of course, our usual accurate news on the latest developments from the Maserati
factory. As you who read I L TRIDENTE magazine know
I have a"pet peeve" with the U.S. automotive press for printing a never-ending
stream of gossip and inaccurate "news items" on what is considered the
"latest" Maserati news. You can continue to expect a higher level of accuracy
from us as we check all "news" directly and don't print them until they
are ascertained to be true. We hope you enjoy this site and perhaps even
take the time to add your own contributions to it. Cercate le belle strade!
-Seymour.
